Glossary

What does Indexing mean?

Indexing means Google crawls, stores, and can consider a page for relevant search queries.

Only indexed pages can rank. Typical issues: noindex, orphan pages, thin content, or technical errors. Search Console monitoring shows which URLs were discovered, crawled, and indexed – and where action is needed.
