What is CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift)?

CLS measures visual layout shifts during loading – how “jumpy” the page feels.

Causes often include images without dimensions, late-loading ads, or web fonts. Stable layouts increase trust and CWV scores. For articles: reserve media dimensions and avoid late inserts.
